Liturgy
We are blessed to have a wonderful Children's Liturgy program
for children from 4 years old through the 2nd grade. The program
is held each Sunday during the reading of the Gospel and the
Homily portion of the Mass.
Generations Of Faith
We are excited to bring our Parishioners a wonderful new program
called Generations Of Faith. This program is a "Whole
Community" faith formation series. Registration will
begin on August 20th for sessions beginning in October.
Sacramental Preparation
The Davisburg Mass Station will provide the following sacrament
preparation under the guidance of Father Dave Blazek: Baptism,
First Communion, Reconciliation and Confirmation.
Generations of Faith (GOF) is an event-centered Catechesis approach to engage all of the generations by making participation in parish life and “events” the centerpiece of faith formation. It offers singles, couples, and families the opportunity to work and grow within their Catholic faith together. Parishioners gather monthly in intergenerational groups for one 3-hour session. Participation in discussion groups, group/family activities, games, singing, prayer, and reflection are some of the events of each meeting. Each family, couple, or individual are also given activities to do at home to further reinforce what is learned in each session. This approach to faith formation is equivalent to the traditional classroom religious education program for children and counts towards their catechism program requirements in the Archdiocese. This 2006/7 year we will be studying Our Church Year and Season. The sessions are held the 3rd Sunday of the month from 11:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. The dates are as follows:
October 15 Orientation – Living as a Disciple/All Saints
November 19 Preparing for the Messiah/Advent
January 21 Becoming a Disciple/Christmas Season
February Attend a Stations of the Cross
March 18 Dying to Self/Triduum
April 22 New Life in Christ/Easter Season
May 20 Identity of Christ/Pentecost
Registration for the 2007/8 sessions will begin mid-summer. We will be announcing the topic for next year in May. Our yearly fees are done per household, not per person. For more information, to register, or to volunteer to teach or assist, please contact Stephanie Wayman.
